Many object to them as chronically inconclusive, redundant
and unfruitful, repetitive... Well actually those who object
to them must state their objections. Personally I find them
at least sometimes interesting, but then I'm a non-native
speaker with a shady past as a student in phonetics courses!
BTW Andreas and I sometimes conduct Swedish Pronunciation Threads.
I guess all others skip over them.
