Well you see, I'm lazy and I like my words to be easy to pronounce and be pronounced exactly how they are spelled. No nifty accent marks or anything. If a vowel doesnt have those on top it means you pronounce the vowel as the way its called in a word. so if there was a word "la" it would be equivalant too sounding hte english word "lay" with the vowels its more of a shortened version of it. i am aware you use a special thing to explain it betterbut i dont know what you use. hmm another example is "ke" would be pronounced the same as "key"
