I'm curious too, because, AFAICT, in my pronunciation, at least, there
is no difference whatsoever between [f] and [v] beyond voicing, so I'm
wondering if I'm simply pronouncing them both as fortis, or both as lax,
i.e., [v] and [v_0] or [f] and [f_v]
