You have a gift for this, and a good speaking voice.
Wow, what a compliment! Thank you, Sally. Although in all
fairness I have to admit that I did attempt to put on a "radio
voice"; my natural way of speaking is somewhat higher pitched
and less even.
> I think I like the Jafo text the best
Really? How interesting. Jafo was always fun and easy and kind
of silly for me, but I don't think it ever produced anything
that I liked better than the equivalent in one of the others.

I thought so too, when I listened to them afterwards. I imagine
the reason is simply that Choba has been around the longest, and
therefore is the one I'm most comfortable with.

guess that these are not natural languages and you the native
speaker!
Fabulous -- that is exactly the impression I hoped to convey! :)
Of course, I did run through them several times before recording
them. And even then I ended up with several files that started
out fine but ended abruptly halfway through with a
"...balamuohfuckinshitcrap!!" ... I only put up the good ones.
;-)
And for what it's worth, I've greatly enjoyed your Teonaht audio
selections. Especially Caedmon's Hymn, and the spoken version of
Vul Vampin; lovely rhythm to the latter. Although I wondered
why the link on your web page for Teonaht audio said "dream on!"
when it took you to a page full of stuff... ;)
And thank you again, Sally, for the lovely compliments.
All the best,
Thomas
