I'll answer with my Piata.
> 1. morphological type
a. agglutinative
d. isolating
> 2. Word order
b. SVO
> 3. adposition/noun order
b. preposition - noun
> 4. adjective/noun order
There are no adjectives, just verbs. See also
question 6.
> 5. genitive/noun order
a. genitive - noun
> 6. relative clause/noun order
b. noun - rel. clause
> 7. main verb/aux verb order
There are no aux verbs, just particles, which
however precede what they modify.
> 8. adverb/verb order
I'm still not sure if there are adverbs per se
in Piata. Probably isn't.
> 9. compounding type
a. head-last compounding
> 10. case type
d. other - active marking (fluid-S) based on control.
> 11. tense system
a. time (past/present/future)
b. aspect
c. realis/irrealis
Actually, I'm still not decided about this. It seems I will have all three categories though.
> 12. script
a. latin
> 13. number of genders/noun classes
Nopes. Unlike other Algonquian languages, there
will be no animate/inanimate gender distinction.
> 14. number of cases
Two for the pronominal prefixes (Agent and Patient).
None for full NP's.
> 15. number of phonemes
14 consonantal phonemes and six vowel phonemes
/i, E, a, o, M, V/, which make for a total of
exactly 20 phonemes.
> 16. lexicon size
Haha. I just have some 25 words for the moment. I tend
to focus on morphosyntax and phonology in the beginning. :)
I do have six derivational affixes done though, so you
can easily boast that number three or four times.
