As a 12-year-old boy, 25 years ago. What I did then was of course
very naive and unsophisticated. But I liked the style of Latin,
which at that time I started learning in school, and I have always
been fascinated by symbols of all sorts - letters, numbers, etc.
I also have been into dabbling with fictional worlds for about
as long as I can remember, and from that it was only natural that
I eventually started making fictional languages. Then came Tolkien
and all that, and a more ambitious (though still not very
linguistically informed) project when I was 16 or so.
