There was formerly a time when I was considering anglicizing my surname (for
old-fashioned culutral-assimilationist reasons) to Wrocester. But patrophily
led me to desist.
As for Vista puns, I wonder if there can be conjoured up a (hypothetical) Latin
adverb _viciter_ meaning "instead of", Windows Viciter being so called
obviously because it is instead of XP. (Admittedly the pun requires
nonrhoticity, which is more to be expected in the pronunc of an English
placename than a Latin adverb, unless I declare the adverb to be an English
borrowing from Latin, which I hereby do.)
