Yikes! I meant "Royal Society." Didn't the French have a Royal
Academy,
making England and its Royal Society green with envy? It was to the
Royal Society that Wilkins presented his Real Character and
Philosophical
Language, wasn't it? Sorry. :-(

Nooo... I wish. Now I have a number of academic committments and
deadlines.
But I swear that someday I'll finish the grammar and at least get the
second
Teach Yourself Teonaht up there. But I WILL be giving my "Maligned Art"
paper a second time, this time to the Society for Utopian Studies,
meeting
in San Antonio this November. Same thing: here's a great new listserv,
devoted to mostly non-utopian languages and look what we've done.
That's
my news.

I think you need to change your quote, Nik! Either I've not been gone
very long, or you've had this up for a while! <G>
