| Sorry to be picky, but dinosaurs were not reptiles. We even
| know now that they were not cold-blooded animals (but they
| were not warm-blooded either. From what we know, dinosaurs
| had a system which allowed their body to warm itself up when
| needed, without exterior source of warmth, but could also be
| switched off on demand - to save energy -).

According to my paleontology classes, it was probably a system
similar to that used in many species of sharks.
Basically, they were probably cold blooded if within a certain
temperature range. If the temperature fell too much, their metabolism would
speed up and raise their body temperature. Also, extended activity could
kick in this system, since increased body temperature would improve
strength, speed, and agility. (Muscles work better when warm.)

| And we have no idea what kind of sounds those
| animals produced

Actually, watch the movie "Jurassic Park".
The sounds used in that movie are based on studies done to try to
re-create the heads of dinosaurs based on their skull.
Chirps, hoots, and honks were probably the norm.

| Are you too an amateur of Mongolian throat-singing? ;))))
| Christophe.

The movie "Genghis Blues" was great!
It also talks about the attempt to retain Tuvan culture and language
after Chinese and Russian occupation.
