I must admit that this kind of escalation is quite unpleasant, but after a couple of
months of being on the list and a lot more months of lurking, I feel secure in saying
that this kind of things firmly belong to the category of exceptions. In general, I
would say that the athmosphere is usually very kind and pleasant.
My guess is, that you just came in at the wrong moment.
Everything else I would like to say has already eloquently been formulated by Ray
Brown.
