An idiosyncrasy of yours?  You are one person.  I don't see why
individuals should necessarily follow the pattern found in groups.  In a
group, the normal pattern would far outweigh the uncommon, thus
idiosyncrasies like yours don't show up.

Probably sounds natural because you've simply allowed it to develop
