AFAIK there is only one English translation, but there are also Dutch, Finnish, Italian (by Umberto Eco) versions and doubtless others. Naturally, not all of the chapters can be translated directly: some must be substituted with themes suitable to the target language (English dialect rather than French patois, e.g.).

There is a precisely reciprocal chapter in the English translation, with English text written to be easy for French people to read. -- John Cowan cowan@ccil.org www.ccil.org/~cowan www.reutershealth.com The penguin geeks is happy / As under the waves they lark The closed-source geeks ain't happy / They sad cause they in the dark But geeks in the dark is lucky / They in for a worser treat One day when the Borg go belly-up / Guess who wind up on the street.
