BTW, since we're on the subject of numerical suffixes, does anyone know if
there are any natlangs that have suffixes for numbers before the number
base of that language?
Plenty have numerical prefixes, but natlang suffixes seem to be restricted
to numbers from 11-19, actually more commonly 13-19, such as -teen in
English; powers of ten, such as -ty in English and powers of 1,000 -iard/-
illion; and 1,000,000 -illion[sic]. Languages with different number bases
may have other suffixes for the numbers from the base to the last number
before the first number twice that base, and for further powers of it, many
Indian languages and Japanese also count in 10,000's too, but I do not know
of any that have suffixes for the numbers before the base.
