Which, perversely, would be a better name for the acute accent, if it means "little /", as I suppose. (The formal name of / in English is "virgule", itself a Latin diminutive of _virga_ 'rod'.) -- I marvel at the creature: so secret and John Cowan so sly as he is, to come sporting in the pool before our very window.
