Sheesh, I worked in a university AND an office with "normal people"
and let me tell you, that funtional literacy does not happen with
either college students or "normal office people". This is why my
university required a class called "Tech Tools" to teach people how to
use things like Word, Powerpoint, and even web browsers. Not every
college student can look at an interface and get it... and i know
because i'd tear my hair out at the questions and "issues" of fellow
students who just couldn't point and click to get menus and the right
buttons. Same in the office.
