The lost romance tongue

After recently poking aroun the local library, I've come up with a reference to a
romance language I've never heard of (and I thought I'd heard of all of them-
from Italian to Jerriais): Dalmatian. It is extinct and as far as I know it was
spoken in Dalmatia- I think that's somewhere in the Balkans. Does anyone know
anything about it? It's related most closely to Romanian- I think.
By the way, by Vasiliy Chernov's standards I'm extremely ill-bred (this is
actually true). My real name is Dan Morrison (yl-ruil means something like
"king" in Corfeg, one of my conlangs. Arrogant, huh?) and I live on the south
coast of England. I am a student of German, French and Italian. I've been a
solitary conlanger since boyhood. I'm primarily interested in indo-european
languages, and have created a sub-family in the indo-european group, adding
another classical language- Aredos- to the three (or so) we already have.
