I wouldn't let google decide what's good language so easily.  Further,
the feminime word is totally uncommon, I've never heard it.

I also don't think 'der Geek' has the same meaning as 'der Streber'.
Instead, 'der Streber' is the translation of 'the geek'.  'Der Geek'
is a word used less universally and mostly by computer science
students, role game players, and people in close contact with English
weblogs and in colloquial language to usually refer to a certain web
community who call themselves 'Geeks'.  It would most probably not be
used to refer to people who do more homework than they have to at
school.  I actually never heard pupils use it.

You can again verify this with Google, if you wish:
   Search 1: 'der Geek'     -> Look at the topic of the pages
   Search 2: 'der Streber'  -> Compare the topic of these pages

So when John wanted to refer to people who are always nice to teachers
and make all their homework and maybe more, which is what I think he
wanted to say when saying they 'bejahen' everything, then the German
word would be more appropriate.
