Congratulations! My wife got me a new computer (also a Dell) for
Christmas, and that "new computer feeling" is far more exciting than it
has a right to be, even moreso with the rapid pace of computer development
these days.

You need to do some configuration of fonts in your browser, and maybe some
installation of fonts into your OS.
Alan Wood's Unicode Resources is the place to go:

About a third of the way down the page, you'll see links to instructions
on configuring a variety of browsers, and those principles are extendable
to other browsers, though you may need to pick up a few other principles
and pieces of terminology from the rest of the site for best results.
