Can anyone here help me with the phonetic values of serbo-croat sibilants? My
books only give English-language approximations (useless) and I cant really find
anything that helps what I hear from my Bosnian coworkers:
I think I hear SAMPA says books imply
s /C/ /s/ /s/
"s /S/(or /C/?) /S/ /S/
c /cC/ /ts/ /ts/
"c /tS/ /tS/ /tS/
'c /ts/ /tS'/ /cC/
I am pretty sure they dont map to the English points of articulation, but cant
tell at all where they go.
