It could have been, seen that Sailor Saturn is the senshi of death and

They actually do. It's generally a little more recognizable, but not that
much. Generally you recognize a little more as the 'u' get nearly silent
(so 'sapuraizu' sounds nearly like 'sapraiz', which is a little more
recognizable).
