Cool. If it's available in vaguely readable electronic format, I'd love to see
it, incomplete or not.
I've sketched quite a few IPA-ASCII and other ASCII-phonetics schemes over the
last few years, and altho none's ever reached a point where it's felt
meaningful to present it to anyone, they've all included ^ to introduce
diacritics/superscripts.

Actually yes. Rather assymmetry than overidealization!
Going by the 18-phoneme interpretation, I've got 6-8 high vowels (depending on
how you count /8:/ [u\:] and /8/ [8]), which I guess is worrying!
