Depends. Frequently people import the usages of their own language onto the pidgin. Morphologically, of course, there'd be little or no direct derivation. For instance, in an article about Hawaiian Pidgin English, I saw the sentence "Me coffee buy, me check make" spoken by a man whose native language was Japanese. This could mean "I bought coffee and made out a check" [me being subject, coffee and check being objects], or, as it actually meant in the original context, "He bought my coffee, he made out a check to me"

Depends on how long the pidgin is used. If it's in use for many years, it will grow in complexity.

Quite unlikely as well, but if there was long enough contact with Latin, some of the declensions might be re-introduced. But if there was that much contact, the phonology would almost surely not remain so simplified. -- 3 Wakalláf watyánivaf plal 273 http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/Conlang/W.html http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/Books.html ICQ: 18656696 AIM Screen-Name: NikTailor
