Well, of course; French is *terribly* difficult. :)

Sorry about that. Seriously, I found French a rather twisted language when
I learned some in high school, though it probably was more because of the
phonology. I can't give an unbiased opinion on Spanish, but *for a Spanish
speaker* French is clearly more difficult than Italian or Portuguese. I mean,
I can understand Italian, Portuguese and Catalan at a regular speed if they're
not too idiomatic, but I don't get a word of French when I hear it.
