hence quite different from the japanese "medio-passive". "mieru" does not mean "to see and be seen" but rather : "to have let oneself be seeable" like french "se rendre visible". potential implied ? "tsutawaru" (to let oneself be handed over to) may be rendered with a lassive reflexive passive suckive alike. why not "mediopassive" rather all that bungled ivy-vo-vish stuff ? even better : since it's felt as=20 the base voice/mode over there i suggest calling it "base voice". MY conlanging base voice. hands off. (OK Sally, you can have it too. need a base voice ? ask for the base voice ! ). mathias
