I'm sure you're right, but one complicating factor is
that for some conlangers, conlanging is their primary
artistic/creative outlet, while for others it isn't.
For me, the artistic outlet is poetry, while my
engelangy conlanging expresses a creative manifestation
of Thinkeriness.
