When I lived in the dorms there was a Russian exchange student next door.
She had a hard time pronouncing _sheet_.
She told me that one day her prof handed out a sheet of paper containing
info for the final. She raised her hand and asked "Do we need to know
this [sh*t]". Prof was understanding, I guess, but everyone was stunned
until what she really meant registered.
