What is a velaric egressive airstream?
From guesswork, it sounds like a sound made by pushing air out of the
mouth by driving the tongue forward along the palette. I can't make
any audible sounds that way, at least not with a little help from the
pulmonic airway.
I can make a kind of grunting, scraping noise that involves the soft
palette, but I can't describe the airway needed in very clear terms.
It does not result in air leaving the nose or mouth.
