Well, you could start with what you just wrote! Otherwise,
popular texts are the Paternoster (short with interesting
grammar); the Tower of Babel myth (origin of diverse world
languages, and thus of all our conlangs); the Starling Song
(an old Translation Relay text); and of course, random
paragraphs you find in others' messages. A good recent one
was the True Poet text.
