        Well, that's progress and the younger generation for you!  People of
my parents' generation (now in their 90s or more) used it with impunity.
I've not heard it in years either, except from avowed racists or Southern
Ladies who think it's _cute_ (and who _still_ think "nigra" is a polite
form).
