What about those Germanic languages spoken in Northern Italy like
for instance Cimbrian. From what I hear, they are moribund.
There was also a Scandinavian language spoken in the Shetland islands.
And Manx...
Just brainstorming, I haven't been following the thread so I'm probably
repeating what's already been discussed.
