I'm on the opposite side of that. I'd much prefer something
electronic, but at least professional in appearance. Something
downloadble in PDF format would be great. Then those that
really need the paper version could just print it out. For me,
paper items ultimately get tossed on the trash because I get
sick of the clutter long before I get around to reading them.
That is when the cats don't tear them up first. Hard disk space
is much more plentiful and a lot more tidy.

I hope I'm not going to repeat something, since I have more
than 50 Conlang e-mail to catch up on (yikes!), but it seems to
me that academia is presently moving in the direction of e-paper
solutions. For Optimality Theory, for examples, Eric Bakovic
runs the Optimality Archive out of Rutgers which is a database
of all papers having to do with OT in .pdf form. A literal print
journal, environmentally speaking, feels like a step backwards.
A .pdf "print" journal is certainly a great idea, though, as Dana's
suggested.
