So if I handed you a text in Gothic and one in corsican you figure you'd come
closer to understanding the Gothic text? Well with 4 Germanic langs (I count
English and OE as 2 langs) under your belt I guess it makes sense.

I find it easier to decipher Germanic languages than
Romance ones. That probably has to do with the fact
that I have studied quite a bit of German and also
some Swedish and Old English, but essentially no
Romance languages, so I have more Germanic background
to draw on.
