OT: Ruminations on managing the volume of this list

Here's the solution I've come up with.  I've created
separate text files to contain the threads I'm
interested in archiving.  When a new post comes in
that is germain to a particular thread a simply cut
and paste it into the text document and then delete
the email.

Result: my inbox stays empty, and I always have the
complete thread (at least the on-topic part of it)
available for easy reference in a single text file.

(I use Notetab (not Notepad) in Windows which lets me
keep multiple text documents open at the same time.)
