Some other, less on-topic (but still discussed on the list) ground was covered,
among the highlights for me were:
Foyles bookstore - the best I (an uneducated person) have been in
University? - Generally a good thing
Sapir-Whorf? - Yes, though there's problems with an agreeable definition
Indo-european origins - Black Sea flooding is interesting and probable
Altantean/Flood mythology - as above
Interlanguage Phonetics - and the pronounciation of Danish compared to English
11th C Beowulf and 5th C Diamond Sutra (the latter on CD) in the British Library
- like, wow, man! <G>
Concosmology and conlocation - Particularly the astronomy and physics of the
Demuan universe
Having mentioned Foyles, I have to give them a shameless plug: They've got every
linguistics book regularly mentioned on the list (that I recall), except one. I
splashed out on Trasks Dictionary of Grammatical Terms, and as a result, my
Wenetaic grammar is being converted from home-grown gibberish into
commonly-accepted gibberish. (I have to say it's the most difficult translation
task I've done to date <GGG>). I may have some questions about adpositions and
the essive case (and possibly some of the more intricate variations of the
dative), if anyone feels up to the challenge.

oh, and btw:
ringosnokyip - the-language.produced-by-you.towards-here.it (ringo.sno.kyi.p)
(A better translation would be of "is suitable here", but I'll have to work on
that one.)
