This was a long time ago, and the concert was held in a smallish
concert hall as part of a New Music series. He may have been just
starting out; I recall that the hall wasn't packed, and I was in the
fifth row or so. He had an electric piano and huge speakers in a
hall that was almost acoustically perfect. I don't know if he
was trying to trance out his audience, but from the look on his
face, he did it to himself!
