In Canada we use the NRSV in the liturgy. I understand that the US conference of
bishops made a stink about the NRSV for some reason and lobbied Rome to change
their minds about letting it be used, and they ended up succeeding, but Canada
had already produced all its liturgical material (lectionaries, missals, etc.)
using the NRSV so we still kept it. I don't think we're the only
English-speaking country to have done so, but I'm not sure.
