"on my bed for weeks already
i looked for him whom my soul loves
but i did not find him
i searched between all the streets
of this lie-congested city
but i did not find him
the guards who patrol around the city found me
but my love
i almost did not find him
but i will not let go of him
until i bring him into my city to my mother's house
and to my room to my bed"
"behold you are beautiful my love
and your lips are crimson thread
your teeth are white
like the light of the moon
who is this rising from the wilderness
from a far-away land
carried on the wing of a great bird
arriving at my house..."
