I'll assume you've already consulted Elcock, and Entwistle-- and I think
there's a more recent book on the Romance Langs. or maybe just the Iberian
branch, in the Cambridge series. Other than that, how's your Spanish? You
might ask on Ideolengua and/or visit their Yahoogroups archive-- threads on
Catalan et al. pop up occasionally, including recently. For ex., I just
learned that the Balearics were once under Moorish sway; when they were
reconquista'd, lots of people were killed, and new settlers were brought in
from S.France-- Roussillion was mentioned in particular. The Balearics also
preserve the def.arts. derived from ipse/ipsa, which would be a nice twist.
I don't recall any specific Idealengua discussion of Aragonés, but surely
someone there would know....
