Exactly. But the Carastans used it with a "negative" sense, where English "don't judge a book by its cover" means something like "don't judge someone (thing) to be bad just on first appearances", the Aredos means "don't judge someone to be good". The Carastans were rather pessimistic, also demonstrated by "daeros moigator...", their equivalent of c'est la vie. Dan
