It's UTF-8 encoding, which uses two bytes to represent most non-ASCII
Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Armenian, Hebrew, Arabic, Syriac, and Thaana
characters, and three bytes for the rest.

Why not Basilio/Basiljo/Basilicxko? Or is the issue whether the E-o
initial is B or V?
