Also, what about the word "forgiveness"?  That's a peculiar word, since
-ness is (except there) always added to _adjectives_, never to verbs.
Unless it was from _forgiven_ + _-ness_, but that would be the opposite
meaning, since forgiveness is _forgivING_ people, not being _forgivEN_.
