Re: no language no people

In rtemmu, "no language no people" would be:

g`ag`urtemmu auwe g`ag`ugziguh auni.

("g`" = /N/, voiced velar fricative, "r" = alveolar trill)

g`ag`u-  = does not exist either objectively or subjectively
rtemmu = language
auwe = if
gziguh = a people.
auni = then

Note: no rate of change markers are used here, because
if something does not exist or cannot even be thought of,
how can it change and develop at a certain rate?

BTW, I used "gziguh" on the understanding that what was
meant was lang as social glue. I personally would never
replace it with "rtun" (= person):

g`ag`urtemmu auwe g`ag`urtun auni.

because that would signify that a person without a lang
cannot exist; something I as a speech-language-pathologist
know not to be true. Sometimes my job entails providing
lang capabilitiy to human beings who are very much alive
and who definitely have personality (if not downright _attitude_
sometimes! :-)  ).
