In Silindion
1) No Language, No people:
Low Silindion: Vánka émmë órno, ménta émmë déni
vánka "when"
émmë "not-(having)-this"
órno "language"
ménta "then"
déni "tribe/group of people"
High Silindion: Emmë órno sínë émmë déni
sínë "and so, therefore, thus"
2)A nation/people without a language [is] a nation/people without a heart
Low Silindion:
vánka émmë i denínu órno, ménta émmë (óni) súru.
i "the"
denínu "to the tribe" (-nu is dative)
óni "to it"
súru "heart" (metaphoric, the organ is áuka)
So literally:
"When not there is not a language to the tribe, then there is not a heart to it"
High Silindion:
Emmë órno i denínu sínë émmë súru (óni)
