How would the number of roots needed for a tri-consonantal-root
language differ from the number of roots needed for a language
with another root structure?
AFAMOCIC Sohlob has 1250 CVC verbal roots, including a good
number of near synonyms. Add to that some 50 pronominal/
numeral/determiner roots and about a hundred adjectival
roots for such things as color (which are morphologically
treated the same as verbal roots). There are, by design,
not very many primary nominal roots.
