says that "massacrer" is properly "tuer avec
sauvagerie et en grand nombre des êtres qui ne peuvent
se défendre", et "par extension", "tuer avec
sauvagerie (...)"
So usually, "to massacre" means:
to kill
+ savagely
+ many beings
+ those beings cannot defend themselves
The secund meaning would be the same, except that you
substract the seme "many".
