Well, I think Irina's problem with this is not so much the bulk of e-mails
with political content, but the fact that she comes her to escape "real
life" (whatever that may be). To be confronted with threads about the Dutch
and English language, from that perspective, doesn't throw you back into the
real world as much as politics does (though I know many people who would say
that politics has nothing to do with the real world, but that's another
topic ;-) ).
Anyways, since this is a forum for discussing constructed languages, I think
talking about the structure of a language (even if it is a specific natlang)
is less off-topic than most political topics (or it would have to be the way
in which the language barrier in Belgium seperates the French-speaking from
the Dutch- (or should I say: Flemish-) speaking population, even to the
point where they have two seperate governements, and a federal government as
well.
