IIRC the last versions of Word can read WP files without a problem (just
checked, and my Word 2000 claims to read WP 5.x and WP 6.x files). But never
having checked that myself, I cannot tell if it really works.

Well, you'll probably get Windows XP, so I don't think I can be of much help
here. I'm staying with Windows ME personally :) .
