Chipmunks do have tails; their most distinctive feature is the stripes
around their eyes and on their back. An alternative Tirèlhat word for
"chipmunk" is "veric" ["vE4Its], which means "stripey" (the usual word for
"chipmunk" is "kittari" ["kIt:a4I]).
