If Charles Eicher presented me with the price of doing four years of
research in Nepal or Bhutan I'd go for it like a shot. You couldn't
ask him to start pouring out his dollars, could you? There's a bit
of a lack of endangered, undescribed languages in this well-regulated
micro-spot of the world.
