I sometimes wonder about that. In informal speech I may drop _jag_ more often
than not, especially if I'm speaking in single sentences rather than connected
narrative. I similarly sometimes drop _du_ or _ni_ ("you" sg and pl), typically
in questions.
However, this is probably fairly strictly ideolectal.
